Quba Mosque is the greatest mosque in Islam after the three mosques. It was built in the quarter of Bani Amr bin Awf, a subtribe of the helpers (ansar). Today, it is connected to the Prophet’s Mosque by a 3 km long walking trail. Residents and visitors of Madinah come to pray in this mosque, in an act that demonstrates following the Sunnah of the Prophet (ﷺ) and to seek reward.

Virtues of Quba Mosque:

Quba Mosque is highly venerated by Muslims:

"A mosque founded on righteousness from the first day is more worthy for you to stand in. Within it are men who love to purify themselves; and Allah loves those who purify themselves." (Qur'an 9:108)

The Prophet (ﷺ) used to visit the mosque every Saturday, riding or on foot, to pray there.

Underscoring the virtues of going to the mosque and praying in it, he said, "Whoever purifies himself in his home, goes to Quba Mosque, and prays there, he will have the reward of ‘Umrah."
