I was on the lookout for a good library in Dubai. Really glad I found this. Quite happy to see the selection of kids and adult books. Volunteers did a great job explaining all the membership terms.

I've been working around Gold and Diamond Park for about a year now and I haven't gone to this part of the area and I should've had!

I love books! This one just reminded me of the old school ways of being able to read a book that's trending, a book that you want to read again, or perhaps a book of your interest.

I just had my membership earlier and I am truly looking forward to borrow more and read more.

As an expat who has a temporary home here in Dubai, I can't really keep as much books that I can so this is a more practical and strategic way to still get to read what I like without worrying a space to keep them.

I should say, if you like to read and shy away from the digital media era that's becoming elaborate thing on this planet, visit The Old Library!

We visit mainly for children's books. If you sign up for membership, you can borrow more than 6~7 books at once with generous rental period.

All staffs(&volunteers) speak excellent English and are always friendly and helpful to visitors.

It is a nice and cosy place to visit. It has a good variety of books, including a good selection of childrens' books. Due to its small size and with the social distancing requirement, you might find people waiting outside for their turn to go into the store. The location is odd being inside the Gold and Diamond Park. Membership is reasonable. Ample parking in the area.

It's a nice little spot for any book-loving family... Plenty of childrens books as well. The library is run entirely by unpaid volunteers!!

Lovely little library helpful staff. Shame for my young daughter staff in next door office are always smoking outside though. But no fault of the library obviously.

Nice library with great collections for kids as well. Located in Gold and Diamond Park building 7, right opposite to FAB metro station and behind the main building.
Ample car parking with 1 hour free parking on weekdays until 6 pm. And, full free parking after 6 pm on weekdays and on weekends.
Closed on Friday.

The Old Library

Located within DUCTAC Theatre, Mall of the Emirates, you can donate all your unwanted books in good condition to The Old Library.

Great little library. All the books are in English and everyone who works there are volunteers, so none of the staff is getting paid!

The staff is courteous, friendly, and helpful. The few times I've spoken to the library management, they've been responsive to both positive and (the very rare) negative feedback I have had about their service.
