The Palazzo Guell, built by Gaudí in 1888, established his reputation for creating exceptional atmospheres and spaces. It was designated a world cultural heritage site in 1984 and originally served as the residence for industrialist Guell. Gaudí's design considered the occupants' privacy and social needs, incorporating whimsical lighting and home features. Notable elements include the Güell family crest in wrought iron, a uniquely designed parabolic vault influenced by the Alhambra, and innovative chimney shapes. The extensive use of Gaudí's broken porcelain collage technique was showcased here for the first time. Additionally, Palazzo Guell hosts a long-term exhibition displaying mosaics, ironwork, and decorative objects related to Gaudí's luxurious design.
