Visiting the Burj Khalifa was definitely a bucket list experience, but it came with some significant drawbacks that I wish I had been better prepared for.
The main issue was the crowds and wait times. Despite booking tickets in advance, we still faced incredibly long queues that stretched for what felt like hours. The observation deck was packed shoulder-to-shoulder with tourists, making it difficult to get a good spot at the windows for photos. Even with timed entry tickets, the whole experience felt rushed and overcrowded.
However, once you actually make it to the viewing areas, the views are absolutely spectacular. Looking out over Dubai from 124 floors up is genuinely breathtaking - you can see the entire city sprawling out beneath you, the coastline stretching into the distance, and the intricate patterns of the Palm Jumeirah. On a clear day, the visibility is incredible, and you really get a sense of just how massive this city has become.

The building itself is an impressive feat of engineering, and the high-speed elevators are an experience in themselves. The multimedia presentations during the ascent add some nice context about Dubai’s development.
My advice would be to book the earliest possible time slot to avoid some of the crowds, and maybe consider upgrading to the higher floors if your budget allows - it might be worth it for a less chaotic experience. The views truly are unforgettable, but be prepared for the tourist crowds that come with visiting one of the world’s most famous landmarks.

For our visit we bought tickets online, opted for the fast track tickets which lets you jump the queue for the elevator going up and coming back down.
You get a fast track sticker for your clothes so the guides can see you are priority.
It worked really well for us as the queues were quite long, we went straight to the front. 😆

I would recommend getting the tip top view! It was very very crowded at the bottom and on the lower levels so I am very thankful to have spent time at the amazing lounge at the top!
The outside view is totally worth it!

I would definitely recommend buying your tickets in advance. You have to enter through the mall and it is not super easy to find. Or at least it wasn’t for me because it was my first time there, and I couldn’t even describe to you how we found it so I recommend going early!
The mall is giant so no problem getting there REALLY early to shop ;)
But the gift shop at the Burj Khalifa is amazing as well so be sure to check that out

Wow. What a view there are 3 levels to go for. Floor 124 is standard 156 is the top we went for the middle floor 148. Go before 12 noon to get a lower rate. You can go to a lower floor if you like. Also one of the fastest lift 124 floors in 60 seconds. So smooth didn't even realise it was moving. Should definitely visit. Go out of your way to have the best views in the city

Wow! It is one thing to view this magnificent free-standing structure from below but is is an entirely different experience zooming to the top in a matter of seconds. The view from floor 24 is spectacular and the large buildings one saw from the street now appear like tiny playthings from the top. One must be prepared to wait in line for some time but the whole thing is managed efficiently.  There is no time limit to linger on floor 124 so you can spend the time you need to absorb all the view has to offer.

The high-speed elevator ride up was thrilling, and when we reached the observation deck, the panoramic views of Dubai were simply breathtaking—like seeing the city from the top of the world.

From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted and welcomed beautifully. We arrived at 7 AM, and check-in was at 3 PM; however, at 9 AM, our room was ready, and we were able to go in and freshen up. Absolutely top-class service, and you certainly pay for the value and service. The reception team, the breakfast staff, the door handlers, and the cleaners were just amazing people. I certainly loved the quality of the service and the hotel, and not to get me started on our room; the view from our room was to die for, even though we were on the 6th level. It was the perfect height. The amenities, the mini bar, etc., were amazing. Superb, super comfortable, and spacious bed; I slept like a baby. I loved that during our check-in, we were met by the receptionist (sorry, I forgot his name), and it happened when we checked out early hours of the morning he was there too. Beautiful customer relations. Definitely looking forward to going back and staying there.

I visited the Burj Khalifa and went up to levels 124 and 125, and the views were absolutely worth it. The elevator ride up was incredibly fast and smooth, but surprisingly, it didn’t have a view—just a digital display showing the floor numbers as you ascend. Still, it builds anticipation well.

Once at the top, the 360-degree views of Dubai are breathtaking. From the city’s skyline and highways to the desert and coastline, it’s a surreal perspective you don’t get anywhere else. Level 125 was slightly less crowded and had a beautiful interior with traditional Arabic patterns, which added a nice touch.

An icon of the Emirati landscape...so much more than just a tall building. We visited for birthday celebrations in the Atmosphere restaurant for afternoon tea.  The views, the ride up in the lift, are all an occasion. From entry via the Armani hotel to ones chosen activity.
Then there's also the impressive photo opportunity of the exterior views. Definitely make this end part if your itinerary, if looking to see some off resort sights.

A definite must-see attraction since it is the tallest building in the world. You have to visit at least once if visiting Dubai to experience the view.

I had purchased tickets a day ahead and was in line 30 mins ahead of reservation time, but I still only got in after more than an hour of waiting. A long wait to get back down as well.

They should limit tickets better per timeslot.

Great things in the world. One of the best engineering example in civil engineering. It's  something that we can just fill. Science can do anything nowadays and it is the best. Beautiful and just wow things. Any one who visit Dubai just try to go there because if you don't visit it. You lost a chance to visit the heaven in world. Go and visit fill the beauty.

Worlds largest tower. Amazing experience 😍😍

One of the best cities in the world is Dubai. Everything is mind boggling. At the top is very cool place to watch breath taking views of Dubai's Skyline. Impressive building with a unique outdoor visitors terrace on the 124th floor as well as an indoor spectators lounge. The information panels on the ground floor provide an interesting insight into the history of this monumental endeavour from an architectural and constructional standpoint. Friendly staff it’s worth visiting once in a life time.

It’s so much worth it!! Super impressive place and the whole experience that you see while going up and down, not only on the top. How they built it, how proud they are of it, how they perceive it as a success story of the whole region and how multinational the team behind this project is. Go on the prime times because you can catch the views both on the daytime, sunset and night time. Your time on top is not limited and many people just sit there on the floor watching the fountains. But really, I rate 5 stars to this place!

The view - phenomenal! The building itself, more stunning on the outside than it is on the inside. Inside it is just like any other standard 5 star hotel. They are using a vanilla flavoured air freshener which is an assault on the senses. The Atmosphere Lounge is super expensive with nothing to boast about. It's not bad, but i would not rave about it. The service is courteous. The food is tasty but adequate to be served in a doll's house.

Fantastic view of the city and surrounding area, it was great, and the smoothest elevator ride I've ever had!  Once out, there are 360 degree views across the city. It’s amazing. This is an architectural marvel! I took the tour to the top, you have to go inside the Dubai mall to do the tour. It was a little pricey but it's an experience of a lifetime. Riding in a elevator going 154 stories up is a surreal experience. I managed to make it just as the sun was going down, and got to see Dubai from the top of the "world's tallest" building as the sun faded, nightfall set and all the city lights were vibrant. It was spectacular and an experience of a lifetime.

Wow! Another Wow! Amazing feat of architecture. Worth the time to visit the summit. Spectacular 360 views of Dubai, a city rapidly rising (no pun implied) to great levels of commerce and economic leadership. Don't miss this tourist attraction.  The Burj Khalifa is anchored by a huge mall all worth a full day of visiting and exploring.

WOW! What an amazing building! We have gone up as high as we could ( floor 148) . It is worth paying the extra for the higher level as you get a VIP treatment. No long queues, a refreshing drink at the top. Tour guide. 

The view is just breath taking. When we were visiting it was a fairly windy day so there was lots of desert sand in the air, so we could not see the sunset. But being at the top of the world is a life time experience. The view of the city at night was beautiful.

I went there in 2012, so far It must have developed but it was a great experience. The water dance was amazing and soothing as well. It's good to spent your time from eve to late night there. ☺️🖤 Burj Al Khalifa is world's tallest tower, with more than 100 floors. The View you have from top of it's tower is just an amazing experience you can't define that feeling in words. To See, Whole Dubai from one place is such an unmatchable feeling and apart from Dubai we may have view of near by neighborhood country as it's Height is way too high.
Everyone must plan a Visit to Dubai once in his/her lifetime, as it is something we should all see once in our life. Use of 3D technology on Burj al Arab for promotions makes it popular.

The whole experience is beautifully done. The staff. The set up. The walkways. Well designed to keep us in line but moving without being bored. Its exciting and informative if you want to take a moment and read. Tallest building in the world does not disappoint. The tickets are with set times so no endless waiting. The VVIP is worth it if you didn't buy your ticket in advance and want to go right up. As expected in Dubai style its elegant and decadent. Chocolates, juice an amazing staff and a relaxed environment to sit and contemplate while your at at the top of the world. The regular observation deck is also included and is a wonder. The before and after pictures of areas in Dubai is also a great reminder of how amazing this view really is.

At the top - Amazing experience to be on top of world's tallest building(2018). The panoramic view of city from top is a life time experience. Try to be on top during evening so you can see city in colors. There is no time limit to be on top. You can stay there as long as you wish. It has world's 3rd fastest elevator installed. It reaches to 124th floor in 59 seconds. View of fountain show from top is absolutely impressive.

World Largest building .It's  a fantastic place.  It’s neat, clean, bright and very entertaining.  I found it to be beautiful and I loved the light shosw as well as fountain show. The people are incredibly nice and you can find almost every culture there. It’s a wonderful once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Really Beautiful and nice State.
